Kickoff for 2009 Christmas Ball

Plans for the 2009 Christmas Ball were officially kicked off with a meeting for the Ball Committee held Sept. 24 at the Barber National Institute. The theme for the holiday event, "Home for Christmas," was selected by the 2009 chair couple, Tom and Susan Elliott. The Ball was held Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. at the Bayfront Convention Center. Guests were invited to dance to the music of Tennessee Back porch while enjoying the splendor of the bayfront setting and elaborate decorations. Tickets included hors d’oeuvres and desserts, soft drinks and water and three cocktails (cash bar also available). Complimentary valet parking provided.
